Self-pay is an option for those who I do not accept their insurance, or you wish to not use your insurance.
Currently, the Counseling Residents are able to bill most but all insurance under Tyne with the exception of Blue-Cross Blue Shield/Florida Blue; United Healthcare; and Tricare.
If we are unable to bill your insurance, most of our Counselors have affordable and sliding scale self-pay rates.
The following are the rates for services by Tyne Hurtado, LMHC, NCC, Q.S.
Insurance co-pays and co-insurance varies depending on each individual plan. We will be able to run benefits once we have started the intake process.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events.
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States, affecting 18 percent of the adult population. Among adolescents the prevalence is even higher: 25 percent of youth ages 13 to 18 live with some type of anxiety disorder.
Anxiety disorders are often coupled with sleeplessness, depression, panic attacks, racing thoughts, headaches or other physical issues. Anxiety can run in families and be a lifelong challenge that spills over into all facets of life, from relationships and parenting to the workplace.
Hurtado Counseling has devoted numerous years of intensive training to help reduce the debilitating anxiety most patients experience.
Feeling down from time to time is a normal part of life, but when emotions such as hopelessness and despair take hold and just won’t go away, you may have depression. More than just sadness in response to life’s struggles and setbacks, depression changes how you think, feel, and function in daily activities. It can interfere with your ability to work, study, eat, sleep, and enjoy life. Just trying to get through the day can be overwhelming.
No matter how hopeless you feel, you can get better. By understanding the cause of your depression and recognizing the different symptoms and types of depression, you can take the first steps to feeling better and overcoming the problem. Hurtado Counseling is here to help.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
Everybody can have difficulty sitting still, paying attention or controlling impulsive behavior once in a while. For some people, however, the problems are so pervasive and persistent that they interfere with every aspect of their life: home, academic, social and work.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder affecting 11 percent of school-age children. Symptoms continue into adulthood in more than three-quarters of cases. ADHD is characterized by developmentally inappropriate levels of inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity.
Individuals with ADHD can be very successful in life. However, without identification and proper treatment, ADHD may have serious consequences, including school failure, family stress and disruption, depression, problems with relationships, substance abuse, delinquency, accidental injuries and job failure. Early identification and treatment are extremely important.
Family therapy is a type of psychotherapy that involves all members of a nuclear family or stepfamily and, in some cases, members of the extended family (e.g., grandparents). A therapist or team of therapists conducts multiple sessions to help families deal with important issues that may interfere with the functioning of the family and the home environment. The goal of family therapy is to help family members improve communication, solve family problems, understand and handle special family situations (for example, death, serious physical or mental illness, or child and adolescent issues), and create a better functioning home environment. For families with one member who has a serious physical or mental illness, family therapy can educate families about the illness and work out problems associated with care of the family member. For children and adolescents, family therapy most often is used when the child or adolescent has a personality, anxiety, or mood disorder that impairs their family and social functioning, and when a stepfamily is formed or begins having difficulties adjusting to the new family life.
Families with members from a mixture of racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, as well as families made up of same-sex couples who are raising children, may also benefit from family therapy.
Many Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (or questioning) individuals seek counseling for reasons similar to non-LGBTQ individuals (i.e. anxiety, depression, couples issues, parenting, etc.) And while some issues have little to do with sexuality, gender, or identity, the LGBTQ community does have their own set of unique challenges as well.
Hurtado Counseling has dedicated this practice to helping further equality across all races, gender, and sexual orientation. Growing up with Lesbian parents has helped me advocate, relate, and help people of the LGBTQ+ community.
Therapeutic Supervised Visitation, much like “regular” supervised visitation, allows a parent to visit their children in a safe and appropriate environment. Therapeutic Supervised Visitation (TSV), involves a mental health professional who provides constructive criticism to the visiting parent.
Often times involvement with DCF can be traumatic for both the children and the caregivers. Through TSV and Reunification Counseling, Hurtado Counseling is here to help reunify and strengthen the family unit.
Workplace consultation can be undertaken in a number of ways. The most common method for consultation with workers is through health and safety committees. Consultation with other duty holders is usually done through the use of pre-work meetings.
Workers must be given an opportunity to express their views and raise health and safety issues throughout the consultation process. These views must also be considered in any decisions that are made. Where workers are represented by a health and safety representative (HSR), the HSR should be involved in the consultation. Workers and other duty holders should be advised of the outcome of the consultation in a timely manner.
