Michael K. Mueller, MA, RMHCI (they/she) is a non-binary, transfeminine mental health counselor specializing in working with the LGBTQ+ community, and especially in working with her fellow transgender individuals. She graduated from UCF with a master's degree in Counselor Education in December of 2021 and has been practicing as a full-time therapist since February of 2022.
During their education and work with Zebra Coalition in the past and Hurtado Counseling now, they have built up over four and a half years of experience working with their community members and helping people begin their transitions with WPATH Letters of Support.
Michael uses a combination of existential and person-centered counseling theories, combined with her own knowledge of advocacy and feminist theory, to curate a safe space in therapy where all are welcomed to ask the questions they may not have ever had a chance to ask out loud before. She offers free 15-minute consultations over the phone or via telehealth, so please reach out if you have any questions or would potentially like to meet with her!
When they are not practicing therapy or attending local community events such as Space Coast Pride and Come Out With Pride Orlando.
Michael is a self-described geek and avid nerd. She loves to read books, watch anime, play video games, and even participates in several tabletop RPG games including Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder.
