Hello! My name is Amanda, and I am a recent graduate from UCF. I want to congratulate you on taking this big step in your life to seek out counseling. Change can be scary yet is attainable with the right guidance which is why I am here!
I have clinical experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples in both community and private practice settings. I have worked with individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders (i.e., borderline personality disorder), PTSD/trauma, ADHD, relationship conflict, life transition difficulties, adjustment difficulties, codependency, and other areas of clinical issue.
I work from a humanistic and evidence-based approach, which includes aspects of Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I enjoy working with a wide age range of clients from these approaches, but I also like to meet my clients where they are at and will tailor my interventions and techniques. I readily believe in the power and change factor of the therapeutic relationship and alliance, so I place an abundant amount of emphasis on a compassionate and understanding relationship.
When working with you, my ultimate goal is to improve overall functioning and quality of life through a team-like effort. I am excited to work alongside you in your journey!
